Model 5008 is factory-configured to support 6U x 160
mm plug-in boards via dual 8-slot VME64x or CompactPCI
backplanes. Its flush front subrack, 6U x 80 mm rear
transition module (RTM) subrack, and quad PICMG 2.11
hot swap power supply capacity provide the user with
two computer systems in a single chassis operating in
standalone or redundant modes.
Forced-air cooling system begins with a front-access LRU
removable “push” fan tray, with an optional rear-mounted
“pull” fan tray. NOVA’s advanced baffling and plenum designs
reduce internal air turbulence and vortex phenomena.
Power system features up to four (4) 3U x 8HP, 300 W (or two 6U
x 8HP, 500 W) PICMG 2.11 hot swap/N+1 plug-in style modules that
operate on single phase VAC or pure DC input power (separate ordering
numbers).
NOVA’s μP-based System Environmental Monitor (SEM) allows the
user to locally or remotely monitor and control, via onboard serial and
Ethernet ports, fan speed,
temperature, input/output
power; additionally, there are
user-definable analog and
digital channels available. HTTP and SNMP protocols are included in the SEM’s
firmware.
