Model 7001 Secure, Rugged and Distributed Keyboard- Video-Mouse solution was selected by Boeing for deployment on the P-8I Multimission Aircraft (MMA), providing secure KVM server management over an IP network. Unlike any other product on the market, the 7001 offers a flexible, scalable and affordable CAT5-based remote access KVM solution in a cable friendly, compact “zero-footprint” package.

The 7001 is ideal for remotely managing geographically distributed IT equipment. It eliminates server-to-switch CAT5 cable distance limitations and gives system administrators 24/7 access to mission critical servers distributed across a wide variety of network environments such as high-density data centers, corporate or university campuses, multifloor buildings, branch offices, and test and development labs.

Connected directly to the server, the 7001 guarantees non-blocked access from any web browser, making it one of the lowest “cost-perremote- user” server management solutions available. No additional client software or external power supply is required.

Its scalable architecture permits daisy chaining, yielding an economical, flexible solution where numerous cable drops and distance limitations can be a challenge when adding servers. The 7001 is housed in a conduction-cooled enclosure and features a single D38999 military connector for PS/2 keyboard & mouse signaling and video. Dual RJ-45 bulkhead connectors provide Ethernet connectivity.
